Welcome to Prayer Unlock. By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Prayer Unlock, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Prayer Unlock is a mobile application designed to help users build a consistent prayer habit by:
- Allowing users to voluntarily lock selected apps on their device
- Providing daily prayers, scripture readings, and breathing exercises
- Tracking prayer streaks and mood patterns
- Unlocking apps upon completion of the prayer routine
3. Eligibility
Prayer Unlock is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration
Some features may require account registration. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Trial: We offer a 3-day free trial for new users. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Subscription Plans:
- Weekly: $6.99 per week, billed weekly
- Yearly: $49.99 per year, billed annually
Billing: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
6. Screen Time & App Blocking
Prayer Unlock uses Apple's Screen Time API to provide app blocking functionality. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
- You are voluntarily choosing to restrict your own app access
- You can disable or modify blocking settings at any time
- We are not responsible for any inconvenience caused by blocked apps
- The feature requires Screen Time permissions granted through iOS
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the app (journal entries, notes, etc.). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content to you within the app.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
- Interfere with the app's security features
- Use the app to harm or harass others
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
9. Intellectual Property
Prayer Unlock and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Prayer Unlock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
The app is not a substitute for professional spiritual guidance, mental health treatment, or medical advice. Please consult appropriate professionals for such needs.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Prayer Unlock, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
