Information We Collect
Prayer Unlock is designed with privacy at its core. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:
- Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication and account recovery.
- App Usage Data: We store your prayer preferences, streak data, and mood entries locally on your device.
- Subscription Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never access your payment details.
Screen Time & App Blocking
Prayer Unlock uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to provide app blocking functionality. Important notes:
- App selection data is processed locally on your device
- We do not collect, transmit, or store information about which apps you use or block
- We do not monitor your app usage patterns
- All Screen Time data remains under Apple's security and privacy controls
Data Storage
Your personal data, including prayer history, mood entries, and journal content, is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to backup or sync your data (feature coming soon).
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple. See their privacy policy.
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and payment processing. See Apple's privacy policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and prevent fraud
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS security features. Any data transmitted uses industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL).
Children's Privacy
Prayer Unlock is designed for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
